BBQ Buoys
When the BBQ Buoys were first shipped to Adelaide they were orange with a generic logo and brand name; ‘BBQ Donuts’.
The existing branding was bland and uninspiring and, apart from the shape, they didn’t have anything to do with donuts. They needed a brand that promised an enticingly fun and relaxing new experience with family and friends.
Our client was worried it could turn into the boozy bogan boats, so we spent a bit of time getting the feeling right, adding a little bit of ‘French nautical’ inspired class without it feeling like some kind of exclusive club.
We renamed the boats and brand to ‘BBQ Buoys’ as ‘Buoys’ was a word that could be applied and played with across the business’s marketing.
